The McPherson Arts Alliance Artists, formerly known as the VAAM Gallery Artists, are set to return for their 21st annual residency at the Red Barn Studio Museum, located at 212 S. Main St., Lindsborg, from Sunday, July 19th through Saturday, July 25th. The residency offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness several artists’ creative processes in action.
Throughout the week-long residency, participating artists will be working simultaneously in a variety of mediums. Each artist brings their own individual style, technique, and artistic vision, contributing to a diverse and dynamic atmosphere. Featured artists include Meredith Radke-Gannon, Elizabeth Liljegren, Betty Jo Houchen, Louise Hutchinson, and other McPherson Arts Alliance artists who will be popping in and out throughout the week. With mediums ranging from painting and clay to mixed media, there is always something new to discover, so stop in and see who is creating in the studio.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by during the residency to observe the artists at work, ask questions, and gain insight into the artistic process. The Red Barn Studio Museum is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
